Je dois absolument provoquer ma chance et aller au culot dans des Galeries d'Art pour présenter mon univers. De passage à Clermont Ferrand, je fais la rencontre d'Éryne et Aurélien dans leur Galerie ART BY UZUME. Non sans appréhension, je leur présente mes Muchachos. Lorsqu’ils les découvrent sur mon téléphone, je scrute attentivement leurs expressions de visage... La magie opère : ils ont le smile jusqu'au plafond ! Très vite je ressens leur implication, et spontanément ils me partagent leurs idées, leur savoir et me conseillent pour ajuster au mieux mon positionnement. Quelques semaines plus tard, je reviens leur présenter physiquement mes pièces et fais la rencontre de David Chabannes de la Galerie d'art Christiane Vallé. AUJOURD'HUI : les Muchachos font officiellement parti de leur catalogue. Depuis le début, je privilégie d'aller à la rencontre, plutôt qu'espérer que la loterie des réseaux sociaux me choisisse. C'est si agréable d'être aux commandes de son destin. Travaillant seul depuis des mois, ce sont alors ces rencontres, ces discussions qui me font apprécier les petites étapes. Je voulais offrir à cette pièce un côté minéral, presque archéologique, comme si le sourire des Muchachos avait toujours existé. Ces éditions sont réalisées à base de véritables particules de cuivre appliquées à la main. L’oxydation est ensuite activée manuellement, apportant des variations naturelles qui rendent chaque pièce singulière, ce qui fait la rareté de chaque exemplaire ☺️ Chacune d'entre elles est réalisée artisanalement dans mon atelier à Lyon, à partir d'un plastique biosourcé issu de matières renouvelables. J’ai rencontré Aurélie et Clément en Décembre suite à mon passage au culot dans leur Art Shop. C’était la période de rush des fêtes, en gros pas (du tout) le bon moment pour ramener ma trogne Même si le timing était imparfait, j’avais besoin d’agir avant que la préparation ne devienne un échappatoire sans fin, et qu’elle repousse indéfiniment cette étape si importante. Aujourd’hui : mes créations s’intègrent aux côtés de KAWS, Fools Paradise, Donneurs D’amour et beaucoup d’autres. Je ne pouvais pas espérer mieux comme partenaires et comme endroit pour ce lancement.
